Public Relations Tip #44 - Public Relations and Faithful Followup

Public Relations Tip #44 - Your Public Relations and Faithful Followup

I committed a big faux pas this week - totally not intending to do so.

An email from a trusted and valued colleague slipped into the black hole of cyberspace and I missed it.

Being totally engrossed in preparing for the launch of Marc Harty's revolutionary new product ...

... I didn't followup with an esteemed colleague.

If you've ever launched a huge project like Marc's - you know that the logistic and other challenges are many, varied, and constant.

Still - that's no excuse for letting someone fall into the cracks like I did. I apologized ... but I still looked awful ... liked I ignored him.

Moral of the story: Regardless of how 'busy' you get, always do your very best to keep up with EVERY email and phone call. During Marc's launch, we had thousands of emails and scores of calls.

Still - that's not a reasonable excuse for a trusted colleague being ignored.
